The City of Orange plans to offer free tutoring help to police Civil Service exam applicants who have applied to take the test this fall.
The free tutoring, open to Orange residents only, will include getting instructions on how to prepare for the written exam and the physical performance test.
Weekly, two-hour sessions will begin Wednesday, Aug. 26 in the conerence room at Orange City Hall. Tutoring sessions will run from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. each Wednesday through the end of November, a city spokeswoman said.
The three-month tutoring program will be supervised by two Orange police officers Lt. Stanley Butler and Sgt. Charles Cobbertt.
Registration for the tutoring classes will be held at the beginning of the first scheduled session - 7 p.m on Wednesday, Aug. 26 in the city hall conference room.
